With the holidays around the corner (including Halloween), I have pulled out one of my favorite cookbooks and I am drooling over all of the fantastic fall and winter recipes in Ree Drummond’s book, "The Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays." These step-by-step recipes, complete with pictures for reassuring guidance, might just provide the inspiration you need for your up-and-coming holiday table.
Recently, I have been on the hunt for recipes that are not only impressive, but also reliable. When I have company over for dinner, I tend to make the same few dishes over, and over again, knowing they are failsafe and delicious, but lately I have become somewhat tired of the same old recipes. Knowing the upcoming months will be company-filled I thought it was time for some new meal ideas.
Now that school has ended, there is finally time to make your summer travel plans and take a well-deserved break. Thankfully, there are apps to aid you in all your traveling endeavors whether you need help with packing, learning key phrases in a country's native language or finding the closest free Wifi location or grocery store. Below you will find a list with a few of my favorite apps to assist your summer travels, all of which are available on iPhone or Android.

I always find I need a scanner at the least opportune moments. Time is precious and having to physically get to a scanner and go through the long and drawn out process of scanning a document is not a good use of anyone’s time. Good news. There is an easier and more efficient way. All of your document scanning needs can be met thanks to the CamScanner app, which is available through iTunes, Google Play, or Windows.
For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed baking a variety of different sweets and candies. Above all I enjoy baking and eating cookies. Nothing, in my opinion, beats a warm cookie. They can be one of the easiest and quickest deserts to make while being delectably irresistible.
I recently discovered and fell in love with a book that makes do-it-yourself Chinese food fun and, more important, easy. In the past I have always avoided making my own Chinese food because the required ingredients and cooking techniques were so foreign to me and so many of the essential ingredients are rarely on hand.
If you haven’t recently had a chance to visit our downloadable eBook and audiobook website, eLibrarynj.com, you might not be aware of the many improvements implemented last week. ELibraryNJ has been completely redesigned to be more user-friendly in order to make the downloading process more accessible to all patrons, not just the tech savvy ones. Narrowing down your search results is now a much easier feat enabling you to find the perfect book.
Like many families, my husband and I enjoy eating out at restaurants, which seems like a luxury when it is easy to spend at least $50 on a meal. I’d like to share several ways we stretch our weekly dining budget. With a little planning and effort, using these fabulous resources, you can stretch your money twice as far.
