Storytime At Home: Spanish Storytime Favorites
Just added to our newly launched Storytime At Home program: our favorite books in Spanish for storytime! From our staff-created list, choose two to three books to read, rhyme along with us, do an activity and learn together. For ages 3-6.

Poetry Books for Toddlers and Preschoolers
Celebrate National Poetry Month with your little one by sharing books from our Youth Services staff-curated list featuring poetry for the very young. Whether it’s silly nonsense poems, soothing lullabies, familiar nursery rhymes or exquisite haikus, it’s never too early to nurture the beginnings of a lifelong love of poetry.
Earth Day Books for Toddlers and Preschoolers
Earth Day is Thursday, April 22. A meaningful way to celebrate with your small child is to share earth-friendly books with themes of nature and environmental issues featured in our Youth Services staff-curated list. All titles included are suitable for toddlers and preschoolers, and some even come in board book format.
Our video streaming service Kanopy offers a wide selection of animated picture books produced by the award-winning Weston Woods studios. It’s a wonderful resource for expanding your child’s access to quality books and read-alouds if you aren’t able to visit the library right now. You can also browse Kanopy Kids and find TV series and movies your kids will love, with developmentally appropriate age ratings.
Now that is officially spring, it’s time for families to get back outside and explore the great outdoors. The folks at Footpathing.com have made it super easy to find just the right places to explore, with a descriptive index of local footpaths, nature trails and many kid-friendly hikes. The website even includes activity ideas like nature scavenger hunts and fairy house building.
