Connect and enjoy

The library’s mission is to engage, inspire, educate and unite everyone in our diverse community. We want to help you learn, work, and be entertained through all of our resources: books, movies, music, and now our expanded Library of Things. These non-traditional items can be checked out and used at home or on the go to help you connect to library resources and the world around you.

As the weather warms up, many people are eager to get outdoors, and our binoculars and nature explorer backpacks are a great fit for adults and kids ready for adventures. See what you can discover in your own neighborhood, or check out one of Princeton’s parks

Some of our most popular items are our Chromebooks and Wi-Fi hotspots. The connection opportunities are endless, whether you’re keeping up with work, family or world news. You can also use these tools to access virtual library resources from home, including databaseslanguage programs, and other courses. Attend virtual library events, or catch up on recordings of programs you may have missed.

Check out one of our media kits for your computer or smartphone to help you work or create more easily. The included tools mean you’ll be ready to look and sound your best for video calls and meetings, or to create vlogs, podcasts and more. Looking for podcast inspiration? Try Keeping TABs, a podcast by our own Teen Advisory Board featuring author interviews.

Many of our Things are multipurpose and are just as easy to use for fun as for something more serious. Our charging stations and emergency radios (which also have charging capabilities and other features) are perfect for emergency situations, but they can also be used for camping or road trips. Our smart projector kits are equally as useful for presentations as they are for movie nights. To find your next film, don’t forget about Kanopy and Access Video on Demand, as well as our DVD and Blu-ray collection.

And that’s not all! Visit our website to find details about, and more ideas for using, all of our Library of Things. Whether you’re learning, creating, working, or just having fun, we hope you’ll make full use of these resources to connect more fully with us and your community.
