Consider Leaving a Legacy - Become a Member of the Northrup Society

We hope you will think of the Library when you speak with your attorney about creating your will or updating your estate plans.  A bequest of $2,000 will generate a $100 Annual Appeal gift in perpetuity to the Library.  The larger the bequest, the larger the amount of the 5% distribution there will be annually to sustain the excellence of the Princeton Public Library.

Either by making a bequest or choosing another planned giving instrument, you will become a member of the Northrup Society.

  • Name the Library as a beneficiary under your life insurance policy;
  • Name the Library as a beneficiary of your retirement plan assets such as an IRA or 401(k), which can have significant tax advantages; or
  • Establish a charitable trust benefiting the Library

In 1945, Mrs. E.F. Northrup left the Princeton Public Library its first recorded bequest.  We honor Mrs. Northrup’s vision and charitable act by giving her name to our inaugural legacy society.

Thank you for your support.
