Rock the VoteFeaturing live music on the plaza with a voter registration drive to encourage civic engagement and promote interest in the election process.

TEEN ADVISORY BOARD

Teen Advisory Board Princeton Public Library
Participants in grade 8 and over meet monthly at the library to advise Teen Services Librarian Susan Conlon about the teen collection and talk about books, films and music. The sessions provide a say in library services and programs.

Snacks are provided. New people always welcome. Saturdays at 11 a.m. 

in the 2nd Floor Conference Room.

Fall dates: Members are encouraged to volunteer at the Children’s Book Festival Saturday Sept. 13, and then monthly meetings begin in October on these dates: Oct. 4, Nov. 1. and Dec. 6.


The Go-Between Clubgo between here and there

A new club starts this fall for youth in grades 5-7. Monthly meetings will provide a chance to talk about reading and other interests, and to help with library events and plan programs. The new members are encouraged to volunteer at the Children’s Book Festival on Saturday Sept. 13, and then monthly meetings begin in October, on these dates:

Oct. 4, Nov. 1, Dec. 6 at 10:00 a.m. in the 2nd Floor Conference Room.

Metamorphosis Summer Reading Club for Teens 2008

A summer reading club for t eens in grades 6-12. Read 25 hours and earn a gift certificate for an ice cream sundae from Thomas Sweet Ice Cream. Read 50 hours and become eligible to win a Flip Camcorder or a 512MB flash drive.

Registration update: 378 people signed up for METAMORPHOSIS as of August 1. Summer Reading Clubs run through Sunday September 7.

NJ College Fair

Representatives from colleges and universities throughout New Jersey will discuss opportunities and present information to area high school students about applying to and attending college in New Jersey. Parents, teachers and other interested adults are also welcome to attend.

Wednesday Sept. 24, 2:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room.
