It's easy to connect at the library

Those of you who were in the library last year in the days following Superstorm Sandy will most likely remember that the library’s wireless network was often at capacity and unable to accommodate everyone who needed access. We invite you to try our new and improved wireless network.

    In our neighborhood:PPL movie collection

How often do you go to a theater to see movies these days? Probably less than you did a few years ago. How many TV series do you watch episode-by-episode when they air “live?” We’re finding and consuming our film and broadcast entertainment in our own homes, or wherever we choose, at random and convenient times. Want to add to your mix of viewing options? Find out a bit more about the Princeton Public Library’s collection of over 14,000 feature films, TV series, world cinema movies, documentaries and kids’ movies.

  • Home, sweet home

    Home, sweet home

As a child, nothing was more exciting to me than being invited over to a friend's house to play after school. Aside from it being a change of pace, with new toys, snacks, and conversation, what I always loved most about these occasions was seeing what my friends' homes looked like on the inside. It simply fascinated me to see the really big features - the layouts, the furnishings, the colors, the artwork - all the way down to the tiniest details, like if there were magnets on the refrigerator.

    Freegal music top 10

It has been a full year since I posted a list of the most popular music CDs at the library. I still enjoy CDs (as many of you do, based on our circulation statistics) but I thought I would mix things up a bit and give you a snapshot from our music download website, Freegal.

  • Waiting for Downton Abbey?

    Waiting for Downton Abbey?

Love “Downton Abbey”? Wondering what you are going to be watching for the next few months until the next season begins in January? The library has a fairly extensive collection of British period dramas, some new and some old that will make the wait a bit easier. Many are BBC or Masterpiece Theatre productions; some are multi part series and others are shorter.
